Rosalba has over a decade of experience in urban design, planning, and research. An architect from the Universidad de las Américas Puebla, she holds a master’s degree from the prestigious Architectural Association in London. Her career is marked by leading large-scale projects in education, tourism, and urban development.
With a strategic and innovative vision, she blends analytical rigor with creativity to address the challenges of contemporary cities. She joined a|911 in 2013, contributing to competitions, research projects, and master urban plans. Between 2015 and 2017, she pursued a master’s in Architecture, Housing, and Urbanism at the Architectural Association, focusing on affordable housing development in the UK. Upon returning to Mexico, she rejoined a|911 as Director of Urbanism, delving into urban design and planning. Later, at Gensler, she led research and urban design practice, managing multiple large-scale projects across sectors. In 2024, she returned to a|911 as Director of Research and Innovation, fostering research, sustainability, and strategic collaborations to tackle contemporary urban and architectural challenges.
